Impact of HIIT and Iron Supplementation on Postural Control in Young Women

Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) can lead to significant impairments in postural control, particularly in young women. This randomized controlled trial aimed to assess the effects of an 8-week extremely low-volume high-intensity interval training (HIIT) program combined with iron supplementation versus iron supplementation alone on postural control in this demographic.

What this study does not show

While the study indicates improvements in postural control and other performance metrics, it does not establish a direct causal relationship between the HIIT intervention and enhanced postural control outcomes beyond the effects of iron supplementation alone.
